A Grandmother’s Love

Having a severely ill child is nothing short of a heart wrenching experience. The families of these children are regularly faced with stressful situations. This is not a burden that should be carried alone. Ronald McDonald House Charities Curacao aims to support families of seriously-ill, injured or hospitalized children, where possible. Whether emotional, social or even financial challenges we strive to lighten the load for families, for the benefit of a more positive experience.
With our programs we help between 1.800 to 2.000 families yearly. We grant families the possibility to stay close to each other and the medical care they need. We offer a space that creates a living-room ambiance within the hospital so they can relax, catch their breath and re-energize. Our space includes a multi functional area for kids, an ample living room and modern kitchen for families, laundry facilities plus 3 bedrooms for parents to stay in. Our programs and services are not limited to the hospital walls, however. Our reach further extends to families whose children receive outpatient care as well as addressing other (non-medical) challenges that parents of severely ill children face.
However, we cannot do this without the continuous support of the community we serve. Want to know more about RMHC? Have a stroll through our website, check out our Facebook page and Instagram and discover ways you can help make an impact today!
