10 Apr The Mission & Vision of RMHC is Visibly Seen & Profoundly Felt
I work at McDonald’s and I knew the managing director of the RMHC Curaçao Foundation beforehand. We have the RMHC donation boxes in our restaurants and as employees we also actively participate in fundraising activities. So, when it became time that my son had to undergo medical treatment, we immediately knew where to turn.
Due to my son’s condition we had to go to The Netherlands for treatment. We stayed in the RMHC in Utrecht. The experience was comfortable for us at that time. We had a place to stay, prepare our meals and wash our clothes. We didn’t need to worry about getting a taxi, because the house was just a short walk away from the Hospital and they would call us and keep us constantly updated on my son’s condition. The volunteers were helpful, friendly and the service was subliminal.
Back in Curaçao we are regular visitors of the Ronald McDonald Family Room.This foundation truly does what it stands for and that is to keep families close during challenging times.
